Noteworthy - Journeys and Travels

Good Morning,

I hope you have all had a wonderful week and are able to enjoy the beginnings of fall.  This is my favorite time of year and I have been making every effort to get outside and soak in the cooler, crisper weather.  

I have been - and will be - traveling extensively this month.  Some of the travel is for pleasure and some of it is for work.  All of it is interesting and fun but adds a bit of pressure to an already packed schedule. 

One of the ways I manage the stress of a demanding schedule is through an (almost) daily meditation practice.  Somehow, adding time to sit quietly creates space in my day.   There is a saying that goes something like - "If you do not have time to meditate for an hour, meditate for 2".    Making time to pause and re-set myself adds room to breathe - magical.

This month I have been re-reading a book I first read about 10 years ago.  It is one of those books that you glean a new pearl of wisdom from with each reading.   And I am loving it all over again.  I can't recommend it enough.  In fact, I had a lovely chat with a woman I met on my flight today and I had it in my hand.  We ended up discussing all sorts of life events and I ended up encouraging her to read it (hi Monica!).
